Description
Three inches shorter than the oversized Standard Rectifier 4×12, the Traditional 4×12 cabinet produces a tighter and more focused low-end response, while still delivering massive 4×12 punch and authority. In addition, SLANT-style Recto 4×12 Cabinets offer a ‘monitor’ effect due to the top speakers sloping up toward your ears. The Traditional 4×12 provides more balance between lows, mids and highs and a greater emphasis on attack. The mid-range is more pronounced and this cabinet is often preferred for styles that require tight tracking and articulate response. Complete with a quartet of G12M-65 Creambacks adding a modern vintage flavour to the legendary Mesa 4×12 sound: a traditional woody Celestion tone supersized with extra girth, growl and attitude.
IRs are recorded using three professional microphones: Shure SM57, Royer R-121 and Sennheiser MD421, each placed in six different positions: Balanced, Bright, Fat, Thin, Dark and Dark 2.
The pack also contains three additional recordings using Neumann TLM 107 room mics (Left, Right and Stereo) plus eight microphone mixes.
