Seen as the ultimate 10” guitar speaker, the Celestion G10 Gold combines the mellowness of its Alnico magnet with the speed, responsiveness and articulation of a 10-inch driver.
Offering that unmistakable Alnico tone, while delivering a rich low-end, creamy mid-range and vintage, chiming top-end, the G10 Gold is springy, warm, revealing and highly expressive, adding a classy British sheen to any amp.
The Celestion G10 Gold speaker impulse response collection includes five different cabinet configurations:
- 1×10 (open back)
- 1×10 (closed back)
- 2×10 (open back)
- 2×10 (closed back)
- 4×10 (closed back)
Each of these five unique cabinet configurations has been painstakingly sampled by our expert sound engineers using three studio-quality microphones – a Shure SM57, a Royer ribbon mic and a Sennheiser MD421. Each of these mics were recorded in six different positions (plus a rear mic for the open back cabinets), named within the IR files as Balanced, Bright, Fat, Thin, Dark and Dark 2.
In addition, a Neumann TLM107 room mic was used to record extra mic mixes, to ensure the user has use of a huge range of tonal options.
This collection of Celestion G10 Gold speaker impulse response files are available in .WAV format for use with the majority of DAWs, IR plugins and amp modelling software.
