The Celestion Seventy 80 2×12 (closed back) speaker impulse response delivers a tone that is detailed and crisply defined, with a tightly controlled low-end and punchy, aggressive upper mid-range. It’s top-end response is glassy and clear for enhanced treble and a full-range feel.
Painstakingly recorded as a speaker impulse response by our expert sound engineers in a world-class room, the Celestion Seventy 80 2×12 closed back speaker was created using three classic studio-quality mics: a Shure SM57, a Royer ribbon mic and a Sennheiser MD421.
Each of these were recorded in six usable positions and named within the IR files as Balanced, Bright, Fat, Thin, Dark and Dark 2. To provide users with as many tonal options as possible, an additional Neumann TLM107 room mic was also used to offer extra mic mixes.
