Blackstar Cabinets Impulse Responses

Celestion have faithfully captured the unique tones of Blackstar Amplification’s iconic speaker cabinets as a collection of impulse responses.

Using the same painstaking recording techniques we applied to our own speaker IRs, Celestion’s team of professional sound engineers have meticulously captured the distinctive tones of 15 Blackstar cabs, each loaded with legendary Celestion speakers:

Of course, all the cabs are available together as a single Blackstar Amps IR collection.

This new range of speaker IRs offers authentic Celestion tone from iconic Blackstar cabs.

Each Blackstar cabinet impulse response has been accurately recorded using the same studio-quality microphones (Royer R-121, Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD421) in the same six adjustable positions as our core range of Celestion IRs – as well as an extra rear position for the open back cabinets.

This offers 18 tone options for each cabinet, plus our usual additional mic mix options. Each Blackstar cab impulse response has also been recorded using a Neumann TLM 107 room mic (in Left, Right and Stereo) for you to mix in and achieve your desired tone.

This range of Blackstar cabinet impulse responses are all downloaded in .WAV format for compatibility with most DAWs and amp modellers.
