The Celestion Seventy 80 delivers a tightly controlled low-end with a punchy, aggressive upper mid-range and a top-end response that’s glassy and clear for enhanced treble. The low-end is tight, for great palm-muting partnered with an upper register that has definition and clarity.
This 1×12 open back Celestion Seventy 80 speaker IR was painstakingly recorded in a world-class environment by our expert sound engineers using three pro-quality microphones – a Shure SM57, a Sennheiser MD421 and a Royer ribbon mic.
Recorded in six different positions (plus a rear mic) and these mics are titled in the files as Balanced, Bright, Fat, Thin, Dark and Dark 2. An additional Neumann TLM107 room mic was also used to provide extra microphone mixes to ensure the user has use of a huge range of tonal options.
